Alan Crandall

Alan started playing music at age of seven. Enjoyed a musical environment from very early on, as almost all members of family played, wrote and performed music on a semi pro and professional level, including touring the southwestern and southern United States.
He became proficient on several instruments, including Electric and Acoustic guitars, Mandolin, Bass Guitar, Dobro and Slide guitar. Began performing at age 13 in clubs and various establishments. Studied classical guitar for two years with his father. At 18, he moved to Southern, Ca. and attended U.S.C. @ Balboa park campus in San Diego for a one year program focusing on Music Theory.
Also performing in many different musical settings, including Reggae, Soul and Funk, Country, and Metal Bands, as well as Blues and Rock. Proficient in many different styles of music and technique, although favorites include Blues, Rock, Funk, Soul, and Hip Hop. Classic stuff of course! Influences include B.B. King, Jimmy Page (Zeppelin), Eddie Hazel (Parliament Funkadelic), and of course Jimi Hendrix! Professional accomplishments include: working as session guitarist on several recordings (including my own) at Peculiar People Productions, Inc. in Greenville S. Carolina; recording with several Christian rock and secular acts, including Points of Grace and Nicole Nordemann (both signed to Integrity Records, Inc.); currently working on publishing deal as a songwriter and songs for own recording to be ready for Summer 2004.
