Jerry Machi
Jerry Machi has been playing music ever since he was 10 years old. After completing high school at Ledyard, Connecticut, Jerry went off to Hollywood, California to continue his studies at Musicians Institute. There he studied and played with guitar virtuosos Dan Gilbert, Scott Henderson, Rafael Moriera, Keith Wyatt and many more. Living in Los Angeles for the past years, Jerry has performed professionally with numerous bands and groups ranging from various styles. He is now currently attending Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) with emphasis in music performance.
Musical Instruments: Electric Guitar, Acoustic and Classical Guitar.
Musical Styles: Ranges from Rock, Blues, Metal and Pop, to Classical, Flamenco, Latin, Funk…. and more.
Unique Skills: Guitar/Vocal accompaniment, music theory, music business, fingerpicking, bilingual teacher (Spanish/English). Si Hablo Español
Musical Influence: Carlos Santana, Tom Morello (RATM), Jeff Buckley, Jimmy Hendrix, Paco Peña.
I believe learning music can be fun and exciting, and yet very beneficial to one beings mind, body, and spirit. With the knowledge and information I have gained throughout my musical journey, I would love to share my experiences with other eager musicians!
